Anticipation

Description

Anticipation is a collaborative effort that experiments with movement as a source of musical creativity. Throughout the piece, a dancer’s gestures are tracked via video and incorporated into the sonic space. By triggering sounds and altering aural effects, the dancer’s movements become her instrument. The choreographer explores movement based on places in space as well as light within the movement. The composers combine found sounds, rhythms, digital effects, classical and synthesized sounds. Ultimately, Anticipation presents audiences with a unique interplay between movement and sound.
