Duet No. 3
In this installation a dense unseen network rests in quiet tension. Miles of thin blue string divide the gallery space, silently running together and apart in a complex series of meetings, crossings and clusters. Periodically, fragmented bands of light slice through the darkness and traverse the tense material network. Each luminescent excursion reveals new pathways and suggests alternate abstract mappings. With every unique tracer, unexplored locales of density and rest are momentarily illuminated and then hidden within the otherwise invisible web.
