Walking

A widescreen video about a walk through Minneapolis.

Description

Walking (2006) embeds itself in the tradition of artists exploring their relationship with the urban environment. Digital video was captured during the course of a 40 minute walk through downtown Minneapolis, MN, USA. The video was processed with custom software, resulting in a single continuous scrolling video. Throughout the video, traces of the artist’s gait are evident in the repetitive painterly peaks and valleys both distorting and marking the visual record of the artist’s presence during the casual urban stroll.
